the(M) éditions
the(M) éditions was founded in 2015 by Marie Sepchat and specialises in photography books, which it describes as books meant to be felt: each one is treated as a distinct object, produced in a limited edition, and shaped to give a unique aesthetic and sensory experience that suits the artist's work. The catalogue lists numbered editions, such as a title printed in 500 numbered copies, and a separate section of special editions. Many titles are made in partnership with galleries and other photobook publishers, among them IBASHO and the Thierry Bigaignon gallery, whose first year of activity the house documented in a book of its own. For this house the book is first an object and then a sequence of pictures.
