Sming Sming Books
Sming Sming Books is a publishing studio run by the artist Vivian Sming, founded in 2017 as a home for artists' books, zines and editions made with the artists themselves. Its photobook titles are small editions, from runs of 100 to a few hundred copies, in unusual formats such as a small softcover and a spiral-bound volume. By its own account its titles are held in over 150 libraries, museums and universities, and the studio has received the Shannon Michael Cane Memorial Award from Printed Matter, a publishing grant from the San Francisco Art Book Fair and an Alternative Exposure Grant from Southern Exposure. Its address is in Saratoga, California.
