Everyone has a unique starting point in their own memory: for Li Lang it all started in 1974. The work consists of 390 slides playing in a loop, accompanied by his voice reading four stories drawn from his memory of that year, a summary of its important events, and vignettes recorded on site. Working mainly with images, he inserts his observations of history into the fuzzy zone between reality and fiction, along with his reflections on the contradictions between them. The slides come from vintage prints collected over the years from different sources.
