Published on the occasion of the exhibition Spring Tide | Van Zoetendaal & The Collection at the Nederlands Fotomuseum, for which guest curator Willem van Zoetendaal selected over 250 photographs from the museum's collection in their original form: printed directly from the negatives. Some are known in cropped versions but are shown here for the first time in their entirety, demonstrating that a great deal of information about the photographer's vision and approach lies precisely in the apparently insignificant and casual details that cropping tends to eliminate.
