Pas de culte presents hundreds of pictures of places of worship in the Netherlands and in its former colonies, spanning more than 185 years. The selection includes work by Pieter Oosterhuis, G.H. Breitner, Alfred Stieglitz, Adolph Mulder and Ed van der Elsken, along with many anonymous authors, drawn from various Dutch collections and archives; many of these pictures have rarely, if ever, been shown. They capture exteriors and interiors, people at prayer and empty naves, and the slow conversion of these buildings to other uses.
