A portrait of the first post-Soviet generation in Latvia and one of the first projects of its kind in Eastern Europe: the last generation before social networks and over-conscious self-representation, when people were much less aware of how they looked in pictures. Most images were shot between 2000 and 2004 on an Olympus Mju II film camera, ending when Latvia joined the EU. Intimate and revealing, but not grotesque; Blake Andrews calls it a crowd that did not require much arm twisting to get naked.
