Honesty of matter presents itself as a catalogue of surfaces. Alternating portions of material space — micro and macroscopic, mineral, painted, incised, involuntary — in an alternation between natural and artificial. The author focuses attention on how man imitates nature, and how, poetically, nature resembles man. Even when it would be possible to use the original material, technologies are employed to imitate the texture of stone.
