Three chapters, following the chronology of the journeys
In the summer of 1959 Pasolini drove the length of the Italian coast in his Millecento and wrote it up in La lunga strada di sabbia, a little-known piece already full of his poetry and of remarks about the state of his country that are authentic and at times cutting. Sixty years later Vey took the same route, alone at the wheel of a van, going back to the places he described. Thousands of kilometres produced photographs, video, sound and words; like Pasolini's, the result is worth more as poetry than as reportage. The third part of a trilogy, arranged in three chapters that follow the order of the journeys.
