Sixteen pages of night photographs made at the megalithic site of Carnac in Brittany, sequenced so that they build a fragmented view of surfaces that stay mysterious. The stones read less like monuments than like a body seen too close in the dark: as if a gigantic whale were alongside us in deep water, showing the scars and marks of a wild life lived in a space we know nothing about. A nocturnal event, and one more room in the author's own museum of the world.
