Known for his textile and sound work, Christopher Robin Duncan recently turned to photography, rediscovering with a simple and sincere pleasure a medium he had for a while set aside. Marked by the question of time and informed by an intuitive, direct relation with natural elements, his practice unfolds anew through the camera: using a half-frame camera which, by dividing the film in two, doubles time and space in the same gesture, he creates pairs of images.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
