Commissioned by the Gallerie d'Italia, between 2021 and 2023 Locatelli travelled across Europe, turning the most virtuous experiences of the circular economy into extraordinary images.

The result is a documentary project of international scope, which this volume, accompanying the exhibition in Turin, records — in the hope that his work, winner of prizes such as the World Press Photo in the Environment category, the Leica Oskar Barnack Award and the World Photography Organisation, will stir feeling and thought capable of fostering the cultural change needed to accompany the birth of new and more sustainable models of development.
