This retrospective look at Duane Michals's oeuvre by writer Max Kozloff is the first major critical evaluation of the artist's contribution to the history of photography. Many of Duane Michals's early sequences and portraits are published here, as well as previously unpublished new work. This publication accompanied a three-year traveling museum exhibition originating at San Diego's Museum of Photographic Art.
