An [Aeon] denotes the longest conceivable measure of time – of geological time or astronomic time – a span broad enough to absorb all sentiments of grief, mortality, cultivation and existence on the way to eternity. On the basis of a 10 year photographic journey and on the backdrop of an Italian Art Deco sketchbook from 1942, artist Tilde Bay Kristoffersen composes mesmerizing photographic tableaus of transience, intimacy, elemental infinity and the human condition.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
