A collection of family-business stories full of heartaches, hopes and regrets, with contributions from Yongman and Silver Kim (Kim's Video), Eva Sam (Popular Jewelry), Mira Nakashima (George Nakashima Woodworkers), artist Yannick Lowery, Brian Kito (Fugetsu-Do), Celena Gill (Frères Branchiaux), Eddie Lee (BCD Tofu), Alana Erickson (Cowboy Cordage), writer Maya Kazan, Lena Thao (Thao Family Farm), and Judith and Ben Lowry (Argosy Book Store). Published in April 2021 to accompany Minari, Chung's Oscar-winning drama about a Korean-American family starting a farm in Arkansas.

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues.
