Begun in 2022, the project chronicles the daily life of Palestinians from Jerusalem to Jericho, from Haifa to Hebron and Bethlehem: children playing, families picnicking, friends sharing a meal by the sea, all interrupted by soldiers, checkpoints and the wall that divides. Leaving the codes of photojournalism behind, the images, bathed in natural light, suspend time and offer a counter-narrative of a community seen from within, far from recurring clichés. Three essays accompany the pictures.

ABOUT

SpineIndex is an archive of independent books on photography and visual culture: photobooks, publications, design books and self-published editions — the kind of work that rarely makes it into bookshop windows or mainstream catalogues. It exists to document, connect, and keep visible a world of publishers, artists, and makers who operate outside conventional distribution. A living reference for anyone who takes this territory seriously — collectors, researchers, students, and the simply curious.
