A conversation between the photographer Miguel Rio Branco (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1946) and Tereza Siza, director of the Centro Português de Fotografia. Best known for his colour photography, Rio Branco has also built his work on other media related to the image: painting, film photography, short films and audiovisual installations. The author of a documentary photography of great sensuality and vigorous poetic line, in black and white as well as in colour, he was a correspondent of the Magnum agency. In this interview he talks about his beginnings in painting and cinema, his view of photography as an agitator of conscience, his time at Magnum and, above all, the development of an artistic oeuvre open to many forms of expression.
