Winter pictures of broad-leaved trees in deep snow in the mountains of Hokkaido, in the far north of Japan, where Yoichi Watanabe was born and lives. Using his skiing skills he has travelled and worked in snowy mountains around the world; his activity is based in the Niseko area, where it contributes to local cultural development, and he is one of the leading figures in snow-sports photography. The pale, blue-white pictures show bare trunks and branches laden with snow in a winter forest, with a few text pages among them.
