A leading international financial center has faced a number of challenges in recent years: a global crisis, the near-collapse of its largest bank, disputes over banking secrecy, a currency crisis, and most recently an emergency takeover by a rival institution. A photographer and former employee of the national bank attempts to visually capture these far-reaching events. At the core are portraits of decision-makers closely involved in overcoming the crises, supplemented with views of rooms and buildings where the decisions were actually made, juxtaposed with pictures of a simultaneous construction boom.
