A liminal space is not a destination but a threshold, the subtle architecture of transition. Stephen Wilson turns his lens toward the sacred spaces of community, rooms designed for the spiritual journey away from present reality and toward faith. His photographs do not focus on religious spectacle but on the intimate imprints of the people who pass through these spaces: a slumped velvet pillow on a wooden pew, towering stacks of handled prayer books, the solitary glow of exterior lights in the rural dark. The details tell a thousand stories of daily devotion; Wilson captures the presence found within absence.
