The work takes its inspiration from classical painting and is imbued with its colour palettes, lighting and symbolic features. Whether shooting famous musicians and actors or siblings and friends, the author uses the same relaxed approach, working on analogue film and hand-printing most of the work in the darkroom with particular colour references, then digitising those prints.
